Terms & Conditions

By taking lessons with us, you automatically agree to these Terms & Conditions

Lessons & Tests

· You must inform your instructor if there is any reason why you cannot drive safely or legally. This includes the loss of your valid driving licence, and also includes (but is not limited to) being under the influence of drink or drugs, including prescribed medication that may affect your ability to drive.

· Please ensure that you are medically fit to drive. If you have any medical condition and you are not sure if your ability to drive is affected, please speak with your doctor and the DVLA to report any notifiable medical condition.

· You must be able to read a number plate from a distance of 20.5 metres.

· Your instructor reserves the right to refuse to take you to your driving test if:

o You have not informed them of your test date and they are unavailable.

o You have not moved your test date when advised.

o They believe you are not up to test standard and it would be unsafe to allow you to drive their tuition car unaccompanied on the test.

Your instructor will always discuss these concerns with you in advance.

· If your instructor books your test on your behalf, the booking will remain the property of Road Ready Driving School until paid for in full by you. Once you have paid for the test, it becomes your responsibility.

· We reserve the right to amend driving lessons in the event of:

o Pre-booked or last-minute driving tests.

o Mechanical breakdown.

o Instructor sickness or pre-booked holidays.

o Unavoidable traffic delays.

· Your instructor cannot guarantee availability for every requested time slot.

· The instructor cannot be held responsible for mechanical failures or breakdowns during the driving test.

· If you choose to use your own car for lessons or tests, it must be roadworthy, taxed, MOT-compliant, and insured for learner use. It is your responsibility to ensure your instructor is legally allowed to supervise you in your own car under your insurance. If you intend to use your car for the test, confirm that your insurance covers this.

Cancellations, Rescheduling & Punctuality

· You may cancel or reschedule a lesson up to 48 hours before the scheduled time without charge.

· If you cancel or request to reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, the lesson will be charged in full.

· You may only cancel or reschedule a maximum of two times in total across all lessons booked.

· If your instructor arrives and you do not show up within 15 minutes, your lesson will be cancelled and charged in full.

· If you are late for your lesson, your time will be reduced accordingly, and the full lesson fee will still apply.

· If your instructor is late, you will receive your full lesson time.

· If your instructor has to cancel due to factors outside of your control (e.g., breakdown, severe weather, traffic delays, or previous pupil overrunning), your lesson will be rescheduled at the earliest convenient time.

Payments, Credits & Refund Policy

· Payments must be made at the time of booking a lesson.

· Block bookings must be paid in full before any lessons are booked.

· Once lessons are paid for, the amount is considered credit.

· Credit cannot be exchanged for cash value or refunded. It can only be redeemed for driving lessons with Road Ready Driving School.

· No refunds will be given under any circumstances.

· Lesson and block booking expiry:

o All block bookings must be completed within 3 months from purchase.

o All credit (including individual lessons) must be used within 3 months from purchase.

o Any unused lessons or credit after 3 months will expire and no refunds will be given.

Test Day Policy

· If you wish to use the instructor’s car for your driving test, an additional fee applies.

· This fee covers:

o Professional cleaning of the vehicle.

o Any necessary maintenance (such as tyres or mechanical checks).

o Travel time for the instructor and loss of lesson availability during the test slot.

o An hour lesson before test

· The test day fee will be confirmed at the time of booking and must be paid in advance.

Conduct Policy

To maintain a safe and respectful learning environment, the following applies:

· If you repeatedly cancel or reschedule beyond the allowed limits, your instructor reserves the right to discontinue lessons.

· Aggressive, threatening, or abusive behaviour towards your instructor will not be tolerated.

· Any intentional or careless damage to the instructor’s vehicle may result in you being liable for repair costs.

· Students who fail to listen to instructions or who act in a way that compromises safety will have their lessons terminated and will be removed as a student.

· Road Ready Driving School reserves the right to terminate lessons and remove you as a student at any time if your behaviour, reliability, or actions compromise safety, professionalism, or respect.

Accidents & The Law

· Your instructor will take all reasonable precautions to prevent accidents, but as a learner driver, mistakes can happen. If you cause damage to the tuition vehicle due to negligent or dangerous behaviour, you may be asked to contribute towards repair costs (e.g., tyres).

· Your instructor will take reasonable steps to ensure you do not commit traffic offences during lessons. However, you are legally responsible for any fines or penalties incurred.
